Indian automobile market
Exterior
This compact SUV comes in eight color options. The external design is bold, dominated by a large chrome front grille in the shape of an octagon, reminiscent of larger American-made cars and SUVs. Led headlamps, fog lamps, high-ground clearance of 205 mm, standard 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, easy access into and out of the vehicle, and large windows make for a dynamic and bold exterior.
360-degree Camera View
Highlights include a 360-degree camera which allows for an all-round view of the immediate surroundings. Different modes allow the driver to choose different camera views at the touch of a button. The camera resolution is not of the highest quality. Nevertheless, this is a feature that the consumer market will take note of.
Interior
The roomy and spacious interior is a nod to the Indian middle-class family segment. The stitched, well-bolstered seats offer adequate kneeroom for the back seats as well. The 336 to 690 litres of boot space is a welcome, additional bonus to consumers. The clunky steering wheel has multi-function keys and the uncluttered console flows naturally into the infotainment system. It also sports the new Nissan logo unveiled earlier this year. AC vents, automatic climate control and windows designed for wide views show Nissan’s commitment to making this vehicle a disruptor and pioneer in this segment. While the design is impressive, the plastics used do not add value to the overall ambience.
Fuel-efficient Engine

Nissan states that the Magnite comes with the HRA0, a powerful engine which is fuel-efficient, delivers smooth acceleration, and in a nod to green technology, lowers CO2 emissions. This helps achieve a smoother drive, reduce noise, and improve the quality of every trip taken in the Nissan Magnite.
Nissan’s Magnite offering claims to give owners a new and refreshing driving experience at the best market price. The Magnite is Nissan’s all-out effort to capture the coveted Indian automobile market and its response to major competitors like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. The Magnite has elicited a positive response from consumers in the short-term. Will it succeed in the long term? The customer, as they say, is the king and will provide the answer.
